Cardijn Associates invites you to a Day of Reflection and Renewal, inspired by the Gospel and the vision of Cardinal Joseph Cardijn. This retreat is an opportunity to discover the mission of Cardijn Associates, deepen your understanding of Church’s Social Doctrine, and discern how we are called to transform our communities through Cardijn’s method of See – Judge – Act.

Whether you are already involved in the movement or interested in collaborating with us, you are welcome!

Event Highlights

  • Nancy Conrad, one of the founders of Cardijn Associates and former US YCW national vice-president, will reflect on the history and relevance of Cardijn’s vision for today

  • Fr. Ty Hullinger, who will reflect on the messages from Pope Leo’s first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas

  • Opportunities for Collaborations

  • Group discussions and workshop

  • Celebration of the Eucharist

Youth Voices

Youth ages 12-18 accompanied by parents are especially welcome. There will be youth-led and youth-oriented activities during this event. We want to hear your voices and ideas!

JOIN THE CELEBRATION

Cardijn Associates congratulates the International Young Catholic Students (IYCS - JECI) on the 80th anniversary of IYCS International Coordination! The IYCS is a student movement of secondary and college students, a Catholic Action Movement of the Apostolate of Laity, inspired by the work of Cardinal Joseph Cardijn with young workers. To celebrate this great achievement, IYCS is hosting a two-part celebration with IYCS-JECI Secretary General, Roshan Lobo, and YCS alumni, animators, chaplains, friends and collaborators from around the world!

4:00 - 6:00 pm Reflection Session: Beyond Catholic school and religious formation - Opportunities for youth and young adult formation for Catholic action. Details and speakers TBD. (Pre-registration required)

5:30 pm General admission open for Celebration mixer, prayer, dinner and fellowship. $10 per person. Opportunities available for patrons and sponsors to support the event.
